HOPE, MI (April 2, 2005) – Hope College pitcher Kelsey Guisbert held Case Western Reserve University to just one hit on Saturday in Michigan as they defeated the Spartans 8-0. Case faces River Falls in game two at Hope today.
Case junior second baseman Kristin Courtney (Greenville, OH) went one for two from the plate while freshman pitcher Amanda Bell (Carroll, OH) picked up the loss. Bell threw 5.1 innings giving up seven hits and eight runs.
Hope had eight hits and scored their runs in the first (3), third (3) and sixth (2.).
