PHILADELPHIA 6, CASE 1...
COCOA BEACH , FL (March 7, 2005) – Kristin Courtney (Greenville, OH) went 2-3 from the plate as the Case Western Reserve fell to Philadelphia University 6-1 in Cocoa Beach, FL.
Kerry Hunsicker (Wadsworth, OH) pitched well for Case as she scattered five runs (four earned) over five innings of work. Senior Jackie Rutherford (LaBelle, PA) came in to pitch the sixth inning yielding one run on one hit with a stike out and a walk.
Case freshman Amanda Bell (Carroll, OH) scored the lone run for the Spartans when she hit a home run in the sixth inning. Beterlsen led Philadelphia with two hits and four RBIs in the victory.
