2005 UNIVERSITY ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIPS ...
ST. LOUIS, MO (April 24, 2005) - The Case Western Reserve University men's track and field team finished the University Athletic Association Championships with a fourth place team finish as the Spartans compiled 93 points. The host Washington University Bears won the men's team title with 188.5 points.
Case had three athletes who earned All-UAA honors, beginning with Olufunso Olulafe (Chesterland, OH) who was second in the high jump as he cleared a height of 1.81 meters. Spartan sophomore Alex Drollinger (Lodi, OH) earned All-UAA 2nd Team honors with his second place finish in the discus with a throw of 41.60 meters. Doug Bernauer (Medina, OH) rounded out the Case athletes receiving All-UAA recognition as he was third best in the men's triple jump. Bernauer, a senior, took the third spot with a leap of 13.07 meters.
Case will return to action next Saturday, April 30 when they take part in the Baldwin Wallace Invitational which kicks off at 9:00 a.m. in Berea, Ohio.
