CLEVELAND, OH (April 22, 2008) – In a regional match-up this afternoon at Progressive Field, the Case Western Reserve University baseball team fell 6-1 to the No. 9 ranked Fighting Scots from the College of Wooster.
The Spartans will be in action again this afternoon when they take on Baldwin-Wallace College at 4:00 p.m. at Nobby's Ballpark.
Freshman first baseman Cory Pecoraro (Strongsville, OH – pictured) went 2-for-4 with one RBI, including a triple to left-center in the first inning to drive in Case Western Reserve 's first run of the game.
Freshman pitcher Zach Fry (Colorado Springs, CO) went six and two-thirds innings, giving up three runs on seven hits, while Wooster 's Matt Barnes went seven innings and struck out 11 hitters to pick up the win.
