CASE 6, OBERLIN 5...
CLEVELAND, OH (April 16, 2008) – In game two of a doubleheader at the Pipe Yard in Lorain, the Case Western Reserve University baseball team picked up a 6-5 win over Oberlin College in a non-conference match-up.
The Spartans play four games at home this weekend, as they host Thomas More College on Apr. 19 for an afternoon doubleheader beginning at 12:00 p.m. The team will host Westminster College a day later for two games, with game one beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Freshman pitcher Aron Kale (Northridge, CA – pictured) picked up the win in relief for the Spartans, pushing his record to 4-2 this spring. Kale went four and two-thirds innings, giving up two runs on two hits while fanning seven Oberlin hitters.
Senior infielder Kevin Haley (Kent, OH) went 3-for-4 with one run and two RBI, while freshman first baseman Cory Pecoraro (Strongsville, OH) went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
