WOOSTER 9, CASE 1...
CLEVELAND, OH (April 13, 2007) – The Case Western Reserve University baseball team (8-10) dropped its second game in as many days at the College of Wooster (25-0) today 9-1. The Spartans are scheduled to travel to PSU-Behrend College on Sunday for a doubleheader at 1:00 p.m.
Wooster scored two runs in the fifth and three runs in both the sixth and seventh to remain undefeated on the season. The Spartans scored their lone run in the seventh.
Senior pitcher John Thuermer (Dublin, OH) allowed seven earned runs on 13 hits in seven innings of work and dropped to 1-3 with the loss. Case junior catcher Marshall Hampton (St. Petersburg, FL-pictured) and sophomore outfielder Ben Faber (Fostoria, OH) were each 2-for-4.
