CLEVELAND, OH (April 2, 2006) – Case Western Reserve University senior right fielder Chris Sisson (West Palm Beach, FL) went 1-for-2 with two runs and a RBI double as the Spartans defeated the Thiel College Tomcats 9-5 in the first game of a doubleheader at Nobby's Ballpark. Senior outfielder Josh Knipp (Defiance, OH) - pictured went 2-for-3 with a run scored and senior second baseman Dan McNally (Pittsburgh, PA) scored two runs.
Case senior Rich Mullen (Columbus, OH) picked up his first win as a Spartan pitcher. Mullen pitched the complete game (seven innings) and struck out two batters. He gave up five runs (three earned) on seven hits.
