BRANDEIS 13, CASE 3...
SANFORD, FL (March 15, 2006) – Junior catcher Marshall Hampton (St. Petersburg, FL) - pictured went 3-3 with a double and two runs scored as the Spartans fell 3-13 to Brandeis University in seven innings at the University Athletic Association Championships. Seniors Tim Koenig (Euclid, OH), Max Briggs (Cleveland Hts., OH) and Chris Sisson (West Plam Beach, FL) all added a hit and an RBI.
Junior pitcher John Thuermer (Dublin, OH) threw 3.2 innings in taking the loss. All thirteen runs surrendered by the Spartans were unearned. Case, who dropped to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the UAA, had four errors on the game including three in the fourth inning where Case gave up all its runs.
