LAKE ERIE 12, CASE 6 ...
EASTLAKE, OH (April 30, 2005) – The Case Western Reserve University baseball team ended their 2005 season with a 12-6 loss to Lake Erie College on Saturday at Classic Park , home of the Lake Country Captains.
The Spartans, who finished the season 6-24 overall, were led by junior shortstop Tim Koenig (Euclid, OH). Koenig went 1 for 3 from the plate with a run scored and a run knocked in. Case junior Chris Sisson (West Palm Beach, FL) knocked in three runs on the day.
Spartan sophomore pitcher J.R. Doolos (Clayton, OH) picked up the loss on the mound. Doolos went just three innings and gave up 8 hits and 7 runs. Lake Erie scored 11 runs in the first four innings.
