OBERLIN, OH (April 6, 2005) – Case Western Reserve University junior centerfielder Max Briggs (Cleveland Hts., OH) went 2 for 5, including a homerun, scored two runs scored and knocked four in tonight as the Spartans lost 16-8 at Oberlin College .
Case falls to 6-14 on the season and will travel to Hiram College on April 9 for a double header.
Spartan pitcher Chad Skidmore (Centerville, OH), who received the loss, started the game on the mound, but only last 2.1 innings as five Case pitchers combined to give up 16 hits. The Spartans countered with 14 of their own.
Case senior first baseman Scott Greer (Gates Mills, OH) knocked in two runs, finishing the game 2 for 5 from the plate.
