THOMAS MORE 10, CASE 3 ...
CRESTVIEW HILLS , KY (March 21, 2005) – Case Western Reserve University only tailed by one, 4-3 in the top of the six, gave up six to Thomas More College in the bottom of the inning to drop game two of a double header 10-3 in Kentucky.
The Spartans fall to 4-10 on the season and travel to LaRoche College on March 28 for a double header starting at 12:00 p.m.
Case sophomore catcher Joe McCrackin (Tallmadge, OH) single handily scored all of the Spartans runs via a three run homerun in the sixth. McCrackin went one for three from the plate with a run scored and three runs batted in. Case junior left fielder Max Briggs (Cleveland Hts., OH) finished two for three with a run scored.
John Thuermer (Dublin, OH) picked up the loss on the mound for the Spartans. Thuermer threw in four innings, giving up six hits and four runs.
