CASE 10, MEDAILLE 7 & WAYNESBURG 16, CASE 2 ...
COCOA BEACH , FL (March 8, 2005) – In their first game of two on Tuesday, Case kept its best trip to Florida in recent memory going with a 10-7 win over Medaille College . Freshman pitcher Chad Skidmore (Centerville, OH) (1-0) picked up the win as Case's record goes to 3-1. Freshman catcher Joe McCrackin (Tallmadge, OH) went 2-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Spartans.
In their second game on Tuesday, Case had a rough outing as the Spartans fell to Waynesburg College by a final score of 2-16. Junior pitcher Greg Archer (Herndon, VA) (0-1) took the loss for Case. The Spartans had problems in the field with six errors and couldn't get things going offensively only producing four hits. Junior centerfielder Max Briggs' (Cleveland, OH) triple was the lone Spartan offensive highlight.
