SPARTAN TRACK AND FIELD — 2008/09
UAA CHAMPIONSHIPS...
CLEVELAND, OH (April 26, 2009) - Senior Elizabeth Ehrke (Pewaukee, WI-pictured) and freshman Erin Hollinger (Chardon, OH) set two incredible personal records over the weekend in leading the Case Western Reserve University women’s outdoor track and field team to a fifth place finish at the University Athletic Association [UAA] Championships on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University.

The Spartans scored 61.50 points over the two day event, while Washington University’s 231.50 points earned them the team championship.
During day one, Ehrke placed second in the hammer throw with a career-best 50.66m throw which broke the previous conference record of 50.01. Then today, she scored another second place finish in the discus event with a 42.06m throw. Ehrke’s numbers at the UAA Championships were an ideal way to end her impressive collegiate career.
Also turning heads was Hollinger who on day two would set an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the high jump with a 1.66m jump that would earn her first place in the event. Hollinger has now earned All-UAA honors with both the indoor teams in her first season as a Spartan.
