CLEVELAND, OH (October 2, 2009) -
The Case Western Reserve University women’s cross country team won the Division III team title at the All-Ohio Championships for the fourth consecutive year. The men placed fifth in the team competition.

The women were led by senior runner Elaine Simpson (Arlington Heights, IL ~ pictured). Simpson finished fourth overall with a time of 19:13.3. All-American junior Justine Jeroski (Murrysville, PA) finished in 8th place with a time of 19:43.1 and sophomore Natalia Cabrera (Shaker Heights, OH) took 13th with a time of 19:55.5. The #15-ranked Spartans finished with 70 points, 24 points ahead of second place Oberlin College.
Junior Ethan Kleinbaum (Rutherford, NJ ~pictured) led the men with a 14th place of 28:00.1 while junior Mark Grogan (Coraopolis, PA) finished 23rd with a time of 28:20.4.
The Spartans will be in action next on Saturday, October 17th when they travel to Oberlin College for the Inter-Regional Rumble.
