The No. 12-ranked Case Western Reserve University women’s cross country team took a limited squad to The College of Wooster tonight for their first meet of the 2009 season.  The Spartans will be at full strength this Saturday at Squire Valleevue Farm in Hunting Valley when they host the 9th Annual Bill Sudeck Classic at 11:00 a.m. 

The Wooster meet, which included NCAA Division III teams from Baldwin Wallace College, Oberlin College, Hiram College and Heidelberg College, was not scored.

Freshmen Meghan Thommes (Hampshire, IL) and Thea Emmons (St. Louis, MO) led the way for the Spartans with Top 20 finishes in the four-mile run.  Thommes came in 12th [out of 36] in a time of 16:36 while Emmons placed 16th in a time of 17:10.
