CLEVELAND, OH (September 18, 2009) -
Case Western Reserve University sophomore outside hitter Rachael Suchy (Venetia, PA-pictured) had 10 kills and 19 digs to lead the Spartans over Frostburg State University, 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-15, 25-18), in day one at the Carnegie Mellon University Crossover.
With the win, Case Western Reserve improves to 9-2. They begin day two with Westminster College at 10:00 a.m.
Sophomore middle hitter Tricia McCutchan (Hamilton, OH) had a team-high 12 kills and added six blocks while senior libero Andrea Lamount (Hamilton Beach, CA), senior defensive specialist Andrea Wojtowicz (Litchfield, OH) and freshman setter Rachel Gulasey (Cleveland, OH) had 17, 16 and 11 digs, respectively.
