Head Softball Coach Erin O’Neill was promoted to full-time head coach on September, 3 2009.
O'Neill spent the 2009 season as interim head coach of the Spartans. The Spartans finished a respectable 15-24 considering a roster of only 10 players.
O’Neill was a four-time All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection as an infielder [second base] at Kenyon College, where she earned a degree in psychology in 2002. She was two-time [2001-2002] team captain for the Ladies’ softball team and still holds various season and career records at the school. The newest Spartan skipper also was a standout basketball player in college.
O’Neill was an assistant basketball coach at Kenyon from 2005-2007. Prior to that, she was a graduate assistant softball coach at John Carroll University from 2004-2005. O’Neill was also a head junior varsity coach [2002-2003] at St. Ursula Academy in Toledo.
