Case Falls in DuAl Meet against John Carroll...

CLEVELAND, OH (November 17, 2009) - Case Western Reserve University fell to area-rival John Carroll University, 31-14, in their first home match of the season at the Veale Center in Cleveland, OH.

The Spartans took four of the seven contested matches but were forced to forfeit three classes, which proved to be the difference in the match.

All four of the Case victories came by decision. At 149 lbs, Isaac Dukes (Ravenna, OH) dominated Mauricio Gonzalez, 12-3.  In the 157 lb class, Kyle Weaver (Delaware, OH ~ pictured) prevailed over Connor Suba, 8-2.  At 165 lbs, Clay Criss (Beloit, OH) earned a hard fought victory in a 7-6 tussle with Sean Gill.  In the 285 lbs division, Cale Harter (Mt. Pleasant, MI) defeated Andrew Place, 11-4.

Case is in action next on Saturday when they take part in the Concordia University Tournament. The action kicks off at 9:00 a.m.
