BOB DEL ROSA
Bob Del Rosa has served Case Western Reserve as head coach of football, baseball, tennis, and wrestling in his 40-year career at the University. For 32 of the seasons, he has been at the helm of the wrestling program.
As a wrestling coach, Del Rosa has produced 22 NCAA Scholar All-Americans, three national champions, 12 national qualifiers, and 12 All-Americans since 1980. In 1996, Del Rosa was inducted into the Division III Wrestling Hall of Fame.
In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Del Rosa serves as assistant athletic director, and he works primarily with eligibility. In his 48-year career as a Spartans, Del Rosa has served various positions including head coach of football, baseball and tennis.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Del Rosa lettered three times in football and captained the 1958 Bearcats. He earned an M.S. from CWRU in 1970 and holds the position of associate professor.
He and his wife, Ann, reside in Mentor. They have two grown sons.
