Case Falls to Brandeis, 1-0, in UAA Opener
CLEVELAND, OH (October 3, 2009) - The Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team fell to Brandeis University, 1-0, at Case Field in Cleveland, OH.
The Spartans are now 5-4-2 overall and 0-1 in UAA play, while Brandeis moves to 3-4-1 overall and 1-0 in the UAA.
The Judges struck first at the 43:47 mark when Corey Bradley connected on a blast from 25 yards out. The Spartans outshot Brandeis, 10-3, in the second half but were unable to find the goal.
The Spartans held a 12-10 advantage in shots and won the battle of corner kicks, 5-3.
In goal, sophomore Ben Yabrow (Marietta, GA ~ pictured) made four saves.
Case Western Reserve is in action next when it faces The College of Wooster at Case Field, Tuesday, October 6, at 7:30 p.m.
