Case plays #2 OWU to Scoreless Tie
CLEVELAND, OH (September 30, 2009) - The Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team tied #2-ranked Ohio Wesleyan University, 0-0, in Cleveland, OH.
The Spartans are now 5-3-2 overall while OWU moves to 9-0-2.
The Spartans defense was led by sophomore defender Niro Wimalasena (Mason, OH ~ pictured).
The Bishops held a 8-7 advantage in shots while the Spartans won the battle of corner kicks, 6-5.
Case Western Reserve is in action next when it faces Brandeis University at Case Field, Saturday, October 3, at 11:00 a.m. The men play the first game of a men's and women's doubleheader with the women kicking off at 1:30 p.m.
