Case defeats Oberlin, 1-0, for second straight win

CLEVELAND, OH (September 22, 2009) - The Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team defeated Oberlin College, 1-0, at Case Field in Cleveland, OH

The Spartans are now 4-3-1 overall and have won four of their last five contests. The loss dropped Oberlin to 4-2-1.

Case Western Reserve got on the board first in the 44th minute after sophomore forward Vinny Bell (Parma Heights, OH ~ pictured) dribbled in from 40 yards out and found the back of the net. From there the Spartans were able to play tight defense to perserve the win.

The Spartans held a x-x advantage in shots and won the battle of corner kicks, x-x.

Case Western Reserve is in action next when it travels to Tiffin to take on Heidelberg University on Saturday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m.
