Next year when Case Western Reserve University and Carnegie Mellon University meet on the gridiron it will mark the 25th anniversary of the Academic Bowl.  The Spartans will enter that game having won the last three meetings as they defeated Carnegie Mellon, 34-17, this afternoon at Gesling Stadium in Pittsburgh, Penn.

CASE WINS UAA OPENER IN CHICAGO...

The No.8-ranked Case Western Reserve University football team was challenged for much of the game, but prevailed over the University of Chicago, 38-24,  in its University Athletic Association opener in Chicago, IL to win its 29th straight game.  The teams played to the same score last year when they met in Cleveland, OH.
