CLEVELAND, OH (December 1, 2008) - Junior linebacker Lee Sasala (Kittanning, PA) racked up tackles on the gridiron and high marks in the classroom this year and was named first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America College Division as announced by the College Sports Information Director's of America.

niceSasala had a breakout season in 2008, tallying 75 tackles for the Spartans, which was the second highest total on the team. He also recorded six tackles for a loss, a forced fumble, and 1.5 sacks in 11 games. Sasala finished the season strong, leading the team with seven tackles in a 17-0 win over Washington University, and added another seven tackles in the playoff loss to Wabash College.
