SPORTS INFORMATION—2009

NWANNA HEADED TO NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS...

CLEVELAND, OH (May 7, 2009) - The Case Western Reserve University track and field program had two student-athletes post NCAA qualifying marks at the North Central College Gregory Invitational this week.

Junior Obinna Nwanna (Maumee, OH) earned an automatic qualifying mark in the decathlon [6,616] and senior Elizabeth Ehrke (Pewaukee, WI) posted a provisional mark in the discus [43.60m].

The 2009 NCAA Division III Track and Field Championship field will be announced Sunday morning. Nwanna is in and Ehrke and freshman Erin Hollinger (Chardon, OH), who has a provisional mark in the high jump, will await the announcement.
