ocf all-ohio teams announced...
CLEVELAND, OH (March 17, 2009) - OhioCollegeFootball.com (OCF) announced their All-Ohio Teams this week and six Case Western Reserve University student athletes were honored as well as head coach Greg Debeljak who was named the NCAA Division III Co-Coach of the Year.
Sophomore kicker Sam Coffey (Middletown, OH) was named to the first team offense after kicking nine field goals on the season, including a career-high 45 yarder. Freshman defensive lineman Dale English (Middleburg Hts., OH), junior linebacker Jeff Brown (North Olmsted, OH) and junior defensive back Bobby Bott (Grafton, OH-pictured) were all named first team defensive selections while leading a Spartan squad that only allowed 13.9 points a game.
Junior quarterback Dan Whalen (Willoughby, OH) and senior offensive lineman Ryan Breon (Barberton, OH) were both named second team offense. Head coach Greg Debeljak shared the OCF Coach of the Year award with Otterbein’s Joe Loth. Debeljak led the Spartans to their second consecutive trip to the NCAA playoffs and he currently has the team on a 21 game winning streak during the regular season.
