SUTTON NAMED UAA CO-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK...
CLEVELAND, OH (December 12, 2007) - The University Athletic Association (UAA) announced their Athletes of the Week (AOW) for Dec. 10 and Case Western Reserve University junior forward Brad Sutton earned Co-AOW for men's basketball for his efforts last week for the Spartans.
Sutton, a Findlay native, scored 22 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out two assists, and blocked two shots in the Spartans' 94-91 victory over host Kenyon College. Sutton, who scored the final five points for Case down the stretch to secure the win, connected on seven of 13 shots from the field, including five-of-eight from the three-point line. Through nine games, he is shooting 50 percent from beyond the arc, hitting 22 of 44 three pointers.
Sutton and the Spartans currently stand at 7-2 and will compete in the Tampa Bay Shootout on Dec. 29-30 in Tampa Bay, Fla.
