TRACK'S EHRKE NAMED UAA ATHLETE OF THE WEEK...
CLEVELAND, OH (April 8, 2008) - Case Western Reserve University junior Elizabeth Ehrke (Pewaukee, WI) has been named the University Athletic Association Co-Athlete of the Week for women's track and field. The announcement was made on the UAA website today.
Ehrke posted an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying distance in the discus at the Oliver Nickloff Classic hosted by the University of Cincinnati. One of only two Division III throwers in a field of 42 competitors, Ehrke finished eighth with a toss of 41.56 meters.
She shared the honor with the University of Chicago's Rachel Venezia.
SCHEDULE NOTE… The Case Western Reserve men's and women's track and field teams will not participate at the All-Ohio Championships this weekend at Ohio Wesleyan University. The Spartans will instead prepare for the 2008 University Athletic Association Championship April 18-19 at the University off Chicago.
