TRACK'S ERB NAMED ATHLETE OF THE WEEK...
CLEVELAND, OH (March 26, 2008) - Case Western Reserve University senior Esther Erb (Richmond, VA) has been named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Co-Athlete of the Week in women's track and field. The announcement was made by the UAA this afternoon. To date, Erb has earned 11 (six fall and four winter) AOWs this school year.
Erb wasted no time qualifying for her ninth NCAA Division III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship by establishing an automatic qualifying time in the 10,000-meter run at the Walt Disney World Invitational in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Erb won the event in a career-best time of 35:45.91. She also captured the 1,500-meter run in a time of 4:49.79.
