52 WINTER ATHLETES NAMED UAA ALL-ACADEMIC...
CLEVELAND, OH (February 26, 2008) - The University Athletic Association has announced its winter listing of student-athletes to be honored with All-Academic recognition. The winter academic honor roll includes 535 student-athletes representing teams participating in the five men's and four women's winter sports for which the UAA sponsors competition.
Case Western Reserve University had 52 student-athletes earn UAA All-Academic honors this season, and they include:
Women's Basketball: Julia Gorski (Batavia, IL), Mary Herendeen (Austinburg, OH), Ashley Horton (Akron, OH), and Anna Taylor (Westerville, OH).
Men's Basketball: Mason Conrad (Tarpon Springs, FL), Brad Sutton (Findlay, OH), and Steve Young (St. Louis, MO).
Women's Swimming and Diving: Heather Furman (Schenectady, NY), Janine Machala (North Olmsted, OH), Chrissy Petzold (Traverse City, MI), Kate Pollard (Westfield, IN), Lindsey Stahl (Bellbrook, OH), and Becca Winarski (Germantown, WI).
Men's Swimming and Diving: Robby Browning (Grosse Pointe, MI), Brian Grady (North Canton, OH), Kyle Helson (West Bloomfield, MI), Drew Kouri (Marysville, OH), Edward McKee (Buffalo Grove, IL), Benjamin Meck (Orwigsburg, PA), Bryan Saltzman (Buffalo Grove, IL), Peter Whalen (Brecksville, OH), and Daniel Wolack (La Grange Park, IL).
Women's Indoor Track and Field: Leanne Austin (Louisville, OH), Athena Chen (Athens, OH), Elizabeth Ehrke (Pewaukee, WI), Esther Erb (Richmond, VA), Sarah Gill (Sharpsville, PA), Colleen Heffernan (Columbus, OH), Gwen Higgins (Toledo, OH), Britta Kumley (Solon, OH), Miranda Pruitt (Brecksville, OH), Jenna Yaney (Dayton, OH), and Joy Zhu (Chalfont, PA).
