January 25, 2008: “Provost Pizza Party / MLK Celebration”
...On Jan. 25 as part of Martin Luther King Jr. Week at Case Western
Reserve, the Provost will be hosting a pizza party as the Spartan men and women take on Carnegie Mellon University at Horsburgh Gym. The women’s game begins at 6:00 p.m. and the men’s game is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. There will be an on-site Black History display in the Veale Center that week. “Free” pizza will be delivered in-between games!

February 1, 2008: “Hawaiian Night”
...Come to Horsburgh Gym on Feb. 1 dressed in your best Hawaiian gear [First 75 receive a free Quiznos sub coupon], as the Case Western Reserve men and women take on Brandeis University. A 19-inch LCD-HDTV/DVD Player will be given away during halftime of the men’s game. To win, pick up a ticket at Quiznos at the Circle. The women’s game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and the men’s game is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.

February 15-17, 2008: “Throwback Weekend”
...The Case Western Reserve basketball teams will turn back the clock on Feb. 15 & 17 for the third annual Throwback Weekend. Both the Spartan men’s and women’s basketball teams will be wearing uniforms commemorating Western Reserve University (Red Cats), Case Institute of Technology (Rough Riders), and Mather College.
