ST. LOUIS, MO (October 28, 2007) - The Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team (6-11) fell to the No. 10 ranked Bears from Washington University (15-2) this afternoon, 4-0. With the loss, Case Western Reserve drops to 0-6 in the University Athletic Association, while Washington further extends their UAA-best record to 5-1. 
Washington got three first half goals from Caitlin Malone, Elyse Hanly, and Carly Anderson to give the Bears a 3-0 advantage at the half. The Spartans shot six times (two on goal) in the first half, while the Bears took 15 shots (10 on goal).
Sophomore Kaitlyn Yule (Green Oaks, IL – pictured) took eight shots (two on goal) on the afternoon for the Spartans. Junior goalkeeper Kirsten McClain (Rochester, NY) tallied 12 saves.
Case Western Reserve has lost to Washington in their last 14 meetings, with the Bears leading the all-time series 17-2.
The next game for the Spartans is on Nov. 3 when they take on the University of Rochester at Case Field. The match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
