CARNEGIE MELLON 1, CASE 0 ...
CLEVELAND, OH (October 14, 2007) -The Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team (6-8) lost a close match this afternoon to the Tartans from Carnegie Mellon University (7-4-1) by a score of 1-0. 
The two teams went scoreless through 68 minutes until CMU's Kasey Stever managed to get a ball past Case Western Reserve goalkeeper Kirsten McClain (Rochester, NY) to give her team the 1-0 advantage. McClain totaled four saves in 90 minutes between the posts.
The Spartans totaled five shots (three on goal) on the afternoon, two of which were by junior Caroline Garber (Cincinnati, OH – pictured). The Tartans totaled seven shots (five on goal) on the afternoon.
The next game for the women's soccer team is Oct. 20 at Kenyon. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
