WOMEN'S SOCCER — 2007


CLEVELAND, OH (September 25, 2007) - Kaitlyn Yule (Green Oaks, IL - pictured) scored two goals, as the Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team had their highest offensive output of the season en route to a 6-0 victory over Geneva College.

The team took a 1-0 lead in the first half when Yule scored with 13:50 remaining to give the Spartans the advantage. The sophomore struck again late in the second half, scoring her second goal of the game and fifth goal of the season to extend the Spartan lead.

Freshman Amy Bishara (Toledo, OH) continued her solid play on offense, as she notched her team-best seventh goal of the season 57:47 into the match to give Case the 4-0 lead. Bishara's seven goals are the second most in the University Athletic Association, trailing Emory's Jamie English, who has eight on the year.

Junior Caitlyn Miller (Brecksville, OH) scored her first goal of the year and notched her second assist of the season in the victory.

Freshmen Ana Arruda (Ann Arbor, MI ) and Frances Hogan (Westerville, OH) also scored goals in the victory.

Junior's Nikki Frankenstein (Cincinnati, OH) and Kirsten McClain (Rochester, NY), as well as freshman Katie Green (Mt. Vernon, OH) all pitched in on the shutout, the team's fifth of the season.

The Spartans totaled 24 shots (12 on goal) on the night, while limiting the Golden Tornadoes to only four shots (three on goal).

The Spartans will open up conference play this weekend, as they head to the Big Apple to face the Violets of New York University on Sept. 29 at 1:30 p.m.
