CLEVELAND , OH (October 29, 2006) -
Case Western Reserve University lost to Emory University 1-0 this afternoon in Atlanta. The only goal of the game was scored fourteen minutes and thirty five seconds into the game when Whitney Briggs of Emory scored.
Both teams would buckle down defensively and neither side would score another goal for the rest of the contest. Sophomore goalkeeper Kirsten McClain (Rochester, NY -pictured) had an excellent game, stopping six of the seven shots taken by Emory University players.
The Spartans have one game left this season November 4 at the University of Rochester at 5:00 p.m.
