WOMEN'S SOCCER — 2006

CLEVELAND, OH (September 30, 2006) - Sophomore goalkeeper Kirsten McClain (Rochester, NY) literally saved the day for the Spartans with 13 saves to preserve the 1-1 double overtime tie against Brandeis University (6-2-1) in Boston.

Senior forward Amber Taylor (Germantown, MD) scored the first goal of the game off an assist from freshman midfielder Katie Fromwiller (Clackamas, OR-pictured) at 71:58. Fromwiller now has three assists in the last two games alone. Unfortunately, Brandeis senior forward Lisa Kaplin would score seven minutes later to tie the score at 1-1. The two teams would battle through the rest of regulation and two overtimes, but the score would remain the same. The Spartans' record now stands at 3-6-1.

Case will face Allegheny College at Case Field on October 3 at 7:00 p.m.
