WOMEN'S SOCCER — 2005

CLEVELAND, OH (September 17, 2005) - The Case Western Reserve women's soccer team once again out-shot their opponent, but it wasn't enough as the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets defeated the Spartans 1-0 this evening at Case Field. The loss was the fourth straight for Case who now drops to 2-4-1 on the season. The Yellow Jackets meanwhile improve to 5-2 on the campaign with the victory.

Baldwin Wallace got on the board as Katie Demby notched her second goal of the season, an unassisted score in just the 17th minute of play. It was all that the Yellow Jackets needed as goalkeeper Michelle Neff turned back a barrage of Case shots, making 10 saves in all. Katie Duracky (Struthers, OH) led the Case attack with five shots in the game. Case finished with 10 shots compared to five for Baldwin Wallace.

The Spartans will seek to break their four-game losing streak and get their first home win of the season this Wednesday when they host Thiel College in a 5:00 p.m. matchup.
