CASE 3, THOMAS MORE 1 ...
CLEVELAND, OH (September 18, 2004) - The Spartan women's soccer team won their third straight match this past weekend when they defeated Thomas More College 3-1 on the road. Case improves to 3-2-1 on the season.
Thomas More scored first at the 37:33 mark, but then the Spartans knocked in three straight. Junior midfielder Cara Stepanczuk ( Munster , IN ) scored at 66:29, senior midfielder Megan Browdie ( Harrisburg , PA ) at 80:18, and freshman defender/midfielder Liz Altenau ( Cincinnati , OH ) at 88:52. It was Altenau's first collegiate goal.
Junior keeper Lauren Gaeta (Parkton, MD) received the win in goal for Case, playing the last 45 minutes and making two saves. The Spartans travel to Wooster College on Tuesday for a 4:30 p.m. match. Box Score
