2005 NCAA GREAT LAKES REGIONAL...
WILMINGTON, OH (November 12, 2005) - The Case Western Reserve University women's cross country team just missed finishing in the top three this afternoon at the 2005 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional hosted by Wilmington College. The Spartans finished 4th with a score of 144 as Denison University took home the team title with 97 points.
The top three teams advanced as a squad to the 2005 NCAA Championships held this Saturday at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Case sophomore Esther Erb (Richmond, VA) is heading to Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday. Erb finished 6th out of over 200 runners with a time of 21:25.2. Joining her in the top 25 today were freshman Kristen Bowhers (Rochester, NY), who finished 18th with a time of 22:03.3 and freshman Lauren von Eckartsberg (Dublin, OH), who finished 25th at 22:20.0. Hanover College's Leah Peelman won the 5k race with a time of 20:28.8.
