SPARTANS FINISH FOURTH IN CHICAGO...
CHICAGO, IL (October 1, 2005) - Esther Erb (Richmond, VA) came in eight place individually to lead Case in the 33rd Annual Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational in Chicago, IL. The Spartans placed fourth as a team with 164 points, while Ferris State and Macalester shared the team title with 102 points each.
Erb ran the 5k course in a time of 18:53, while Jennifer Erwin from Ferris State was first overall in 17:47. Other scoring runners for Case include Kristen Bowhers (Rochester, NY) who wound up 36th (19:38), Lauren von Eckartsberg (Dublin, OH) who was 38th in 19:39, and Alison Donnelly (Grand Island, NY) who was 48th in a time of 19:54. Irene Nagle (Kettering, OH) rounded out the Case scorers with a time of 20:00 good for 53rd overall.
The Spartans will next compete in the All-Ohio Championships to be held this upcoming Friday at Ohio Wesleyan.
