EMORY 3, CASE WESTERN 0 ...
CLEVELAND, OH (October 13th, 2007) - The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team lost to 6th ranked Emory University 3-0 (22-30, 20-30, 17-30) in the second match of the 2007 University Athletic Association’s Second Round Robin Tournament in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Spartans fall to 11-13 (2-3 UAA) on the season as the #6 Eagles soar to 20-5 (4-1).
Case battled the Eagles point for point at times, but heavy Emory blocking hindered the Spartan attack. 
Star Spartans include sophomore middle blocker S.K. Piper with seven kills and 10 digs and freshman setter Alicia Beckett (Ann Arbor, MI-pictured) who contributed heavily with 13 assists and eight digs.
Case plays their third match of the Round Robin Tournament tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. against New York University in the Veale Center.
