CLEVELAND, OH (September 22, 2007) - The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team lost to Denison University 3-0 (27-30, 27-30, and 29-31) in the first series of the Allegheny College Tri-Match in Allegheny, Pennsylvania.
The Spartans fall to 7-7 on the year while the Big Red rises to 6-4.
Leading the attack for the Spartans was sophomore middle blocker S.K. Piper (Portage, MI) with 11 kills, senior middle blocker Julianna Burrows (Grosse Pointe Farms, MI) contributed with 10 kills and sophomore libero Andrea Lamont (Columbia, MD-pictured) made a team-high 20 digs.
Case faces Allegheny College at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon for the second and final series of the Tri-Match.
