OHIO DOMINICAN 3, CASE 1...
CLEVELAND, OH (September 15, 2007)- The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team lost match three of the Case Tournament 3-1 (30-27, 21-30, 29-31, 20-30) to Ohio Dominican University in Horsburgh gym.
Case falls back to .500 at 6-6 as the Panthers escalade to 10-3 on the year.
The Spartans are now 2-1 in match play during the tournament with a (7-4) games record.
Spartan superstars include freshman outside hitter Beth Karpinski (Avon Lake, OH-pictured) with 12 kills and 17 digs, sophomore middle blocker S.K. Piper (Portage, MI) with 11 kills and freshman defensive specialist Maggie Nofel (Strongsville, OH) with a game-high 20 digs. Junior outside hitter Elise Snell (Valpairaso, IN) attacked heavily with 11 kills.
Case will play for third place against Robert Wesleyan University at 11:30 a.m. in the Veale Center. For tournament results, please click here.
