CASE 3, GENEVA 1...
CLEVELAND, OH (September 1, 2007) - The Case Western Reserve University women’s volleyball team finished-up the Mount Union College Purple Raider Volleyball Invitational on a good note. The Spartans defeated Geneva College 3-1 (20-30, 30-25, 30-14, 30-27) to improve to 1-3 on the season.
Case junior setter Julie Schaefer (Independence, OH-pictured) recorded a triple-double with 10 kills, 36 assists and 22 digs in the match. Freshman outside hitter Beth Karpinski (Avon Lake, OH) added 17 kills.
The Spartans travel to Baldwin Wallace College this weekend for another invitational.
