CLEVELAND, OH (November 3, 2006) -
Case Western Reserve University lost their third and final match of day one of the 2006 University Athletic Association Championship at Carnegie Mellon University. The Spartans fell 3-0 (31-29, 36-34, 30-24) to the University of Rochester. Case (12-24, 1-9 UAA) will face Brandeis University tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.
 Spartan sophomore middle hitter Colleen Martin (Rocky River, OH) led the team in kills against Rochester with 13. She finished the day with 36 kills in 10 games. Sophomore setter Julie Schaefer-pictured (Independence, OH) added 40 assists and freshman outside hitter S.K. Piper (Portage, MI) had 30 digs.
