CLEVELAND, OH (November 3, 2006) -
Case Western Reserve University dropped their first match at the 2006 University Athletic Association Championship to Washington University (MO) 3-0 (30-17, 30-19, 30-12). Washington is the second ranked team in the country.
Case (12-22, 1-7 UAA) was led by sophomore middle hitter Colleen Martin-pictured (Rocky River, OH), who had 13 kills. The Spartans face host Carnegie Mellon University in match two at 11:30 a.m.
