CLEVELAND, OH (October 4, 2006) -
The Case Western Reserve University volleyball team improved to 8-14 on the year tonight with a 3-0 (35-33, 30-21, 30-28) victory over Ursuline College in front of a big crowd at the Veale Center. The Spartans travel to Heidelberg College this Saturday for a tri-match with Heidelberg (5:00 p.m.) and Wilmington College (3:00 p.m.).
Case junior middle hitter Julianna Burrows (Grosse Pointe Farms, MI-pictured), sophomore middle hitter Colleen Martin (Rocky River, OH) and freshman outside hitter S.K. Piper (Portage, MI) each had 10 kills in the game to lead the Spartans. Case freshman setter Andrea Lamont (Columbia, MD) added 24 digs and sophomore setter Julie Schaefer (Independence, OH) recorded 37 assists in the match.
