CLEVELAND, OH (September 19, 2006) -
The Case Western Reserve University women’s volleyball team matched their win total from a year ago in just week four of the 2006 season with a 3-2 (19-30, 30-27, 30-24, 22-30, 15-8) home victory over John Carroll University this evening. The Spartans improved to 5-9 on the year. They finished the 2005 season 5-31.
Sophomore middle hitter Colleen Martin (Rocky River, OH-pictured) had a team high 12 kills and sophomore outside hitter Elise Snell (Valparaiso, IN) added 11. Freshman libero Andrea Wojtowicz (Litchfield, OH) also recorded 27 digs.
Case will be at the Waynesburg College Tournament this Friday and Saturday. They start with West Virginia Wesleyan College Friday at 6:00 p.m.
