CLEVELAND, OH (September 16, 2006) - Case Western Reserve University sophomore setter Julie Schaefer (Independence, OH-pictured) recorded 50 assists and 21 digs in her team’s 3-2 (28-30, 30-24, 28-30, 30-28, 17-15) come-from-behind victory over John Carroll University today at the Case Volleyball Tournament.
The victory was the Spartans’ third straight (4-8) at their home tournament. They face Urbana University at 1:00 p.m. in their final match of the weekend.
Case sophomore outside hitter Elise Snell (Valparaiso, IN) and freshman outside hitter S.K. Piper (Portage, MI) had 21 and 18 digs and freshman libero Andrea Wojtowicz (Litchfield, OH) 24 digs in the match.
