CLEVELAND, OH (September 1, 2006) - The Case Western Reserve University women’s volleyball team opened up their 2006 season with a 0-3 (14-30, 19-30, 22-30) loss to host Mount Union College at the Raider Volleyball Invitational.
Case freshman outside hitter S.K. Piper (Portage, MI) - pictured led the Spartan offensive attack with six kills in her first collegiate match and sophomore setter Julie Schaefer (Independence, OH) had 14 assists. Case recorded 59 digs as a team.
The Spartans face Calvin College in match two at 8:00 p.m.
